Last night I saw what looked to be a 4003 with a toaster & horseshoe. The bass was all white, it didn't appear to have any binding but it definitely wasn't a 4003S - it had triangle markers. I don't think the pick guard was original either - it was somewhat transparent - in the right light you could see the wirering behind it.

This bass was listed as a 4004.

What do you think?

Brad, that's what I'm thinking - most likely a 4003.

Sea, I didn't plug in. I might get back there tomorrow- if so I'll let you know!

There were no lightshows with the horseshoe pickup. And if you could find one for under 8-10 grand, you better buy it if you can! (The model # on the lightshow is 4005LS.)
