I'd say Bergundy too.
I think the red finishes that Ric offered were 'solid' as opposed to transparent.

I guess it must be a Burg as in '77 they didn't make any Ruby ones. My Burg is also quite red, but not as much as this one.

Burgundy was a transparent wine red overall finish (as opposed to a "burst" like Fireglo). Ruby was a transparent red over silver, hence a "metallic red," just like Midnight Blue is trans blue over silver. "Red" was a solid fire-engine red, usually seen with black trim and black hardware. This one is defintely Burgundy.

yeah a Ruby wouldn't show the wood, (skunk stripe)
