620 color preference

Post by clearblue »

What is your favorite color for the 620? I think that jetglo looks the best because of the contrasting white binding, trc and pickguard. Plus chome hardware on jetglo always looks good. I'm trying to decide on a color right now and jetglo and blueburst are in the finals. I know they're completely different and unique in their own way.

Dan, I second Mitch's opinion. Either Fireglo or Jetglo. If I had to choose it would be very hard but Fireglo would win for a 620. Jetglo would be my second choice and Blueburst would be my last choice. Having said that Blueburst is a gorgeous colour.

Its nice to have choices. Go with what your heart tells you to do.

Dan,

Jet-Glo is such a classic Rickenbacker color. My JG 620-12 looks beautiful.

I agree that jetglo takes the prize with white guards, but I consider that gold guards are best with a fireglo finish.

With gold or white bits and pieces, Paul?

Is that a stupid question, or what??

Har . Either looks good. Gold looks best IMO.

I'm thinking about ordering a blueburst 620 myself!

One thing I'm concerned about on the color is that on the neck through guitars, sometimes the different wood sections absorb the color at different levels making the pieces contrast significantly. I don't particularly like that. That's why I'm leaning towards Jetglo.
