It could be a late '73, a '74, or an early '75. '72? No way.

I e-mailed him also, and invited him to e-mail me back for more info. I suggested it was a 74-75. I haven't heard back, but he may not be aware of questions coming to him. I don't think the listing should be pulled, and I don't think he's "another stubborn a------," but probably an innocent first-time seller. Let's give the guy a break, fellas. It's a pretty decent looking Burgundy 73, 74, or 75 and somebody may get a bargain.

Its not a 75 the neck pickup would be a 1/2 inch back,its a late 73 or a 74.

Early 75's have 1/2" spacing. Mine's a February 75 and has it...the tuners say to me early 74 perhaps.

I don't like those tuners, they aren't up to the job of holding a normal bass string with all it's force, one of them is turning on that bass, I have them on a non-Ric bass and they are terrible. The headstock is also too big to be a 72. I would guess a 74.

Naa.

A 72's and a 74's headstock are the same size, Bob.
