Paul's 4001S - question for Mark

Post by dminer »

Hello Mark, Over at another website the question came up as to the wiring in Paul's Rickenbacker. I have noticed that he always seems to have the pickup selector switch in the down position. I would think that this would indicate a preference for the horseshoe pickup. Someone suggested that because it was a lefty that perphaps the wiring was reversed-ie. neck is down and horseshoe up. Knowing that you were the luthier on his bass when it came into Rickenbacker for repair I am asking that you clear up this question. Was the wiring standard or reversed?
