I really really wish,Scott,pics from the Ric.museum. Jared, wants one of those quilted 4004s really bad [maybe more then most] so i just had to teas him.

Jared, that was one of the prototypes for the Cii apparently. It has a matte finish, as opposed to the production glossy surface. Yeah, I was GASing for that one, too. The Lemmy is a prototype with two (instead of three) PUs.
Many of the guitars and basses in the "museum" showroom were either really old or unusual mods and prototypes. The only current models they had there were one each of the C series.

The back of that Maple 4004cii was stunning, the quilting was formed in small circular patterns about the size of a Quarter which looked amazing, now imagine same lovely Maple in Fireglo ... Hmmmmmmm

That quilted 4004 is simply one of the best looking Ric basses seen in a long time. A few more of this quality wood need to find there way on the market...
Now when you have a bass like that, why would you want that dark old Lemmy....
