The Rick, The Behringer and The Pod

Yesterday I received some important accoutrements to the new 360-Tack-12.
I now have a Behringer EuroRack UB1202 mixing unit, a Line6 Pod 2.0 for the 360_Tack_12, a MXL-990 condenser mic for voice, a Nady CM 88 condenser mic for the Guilds and several other amenities for home recording.
I hope to be on top of the game pretty quick. I just have to learn how to use this stuff!

I have a Behringer 1202 sub-mixer that I've been using regularly in gigs for about 2 years-nice little piece-haven't had any problems and I think you'll be pleased with it Ambrose.

I use a ric, a bass pod, an ampeg, cellestion speakers, an alesis drum machine, and a tascam recorder ... it is fun to have toys ...

I'm waiting 'til the kids go back to school and my hubby goes on a business trip in a few weeks to start figuring out my new Korg multitrack recorder.... I'll need some long uninterrupted periods of silence to lay down some tracks of my own compositions, LOL!

Nice choices in gear, Ambrose! I'm using a UB1832 because I'm lazy and like to leave all of my gear plugged in, I've liked it so far.
The MXL990 is GREAT for recording acoustic guitar. I've found it works a little better as a short-distance mic, usually about 12-18 inches and I tend to set it up basically by the end of the fretboard. If you're recording into a computer... look into the Antares Microphone modeler Plug-in, it'll take your MXL and give you the ability to make it sound like absolute gold. It has a tube emulator that will warm that bad boy up like a shot of vodka in December.
And for no amount of money in the world would I ever trade my Bass Pod... especially now that the .0047's gone in my '77 4001 little halos come out of my monitors when I plug in!

For recording I use several different preamps depending on what I am after. My arsenal includes a modified Furman PQ-3, Raven Labs PHA-1 and Mesa/Boogie DC-2, all of which come after an Aphex Punch Factory compressor. For my personal song writing work, this goes into a Tascam 234 recorder; with the band it goes into a Korg D1600 Mk II.
