Bob, i don't know about better ,they were more authentic looking-slimmer neck,original style surround,more attention to detail,the earlier i guess yes! are the better ones.

Ilan, that was EXACTLY what I was thinking...

Chris, that is a gift to be able to switch to "selective mode memory" - for me the RM 1999 issue is "non erasable data"... Image

Oh yes the RM ,Andy,and I made the guy offers after the auction ended in the thousands, he remained loyal to the lucky a-- person who pushed the BIN button.He told me if the guy backed out it was mine,you guys think YOU have night mares????

I do know, of the 2 CS basses I've owned the earlier one made in 1991 had a much slimmer neck than the other one made in the late 90's.

Got the bass in today. It's got some wear but, is still a beautiful bass. Plays like a dream. I'm going to wait till the

No, but if you want to have fun...My 4000 project should be back, I can bring all the parts..bass, harness, pickguard, horseshoe,hip shot bridge.. and we can put it together at the meeting...
