Just wanted a thread. I'll go back to hammering out bad Jazz on the Hammond now.

Sorry! Leo selfishness shining through, I suppose...
Howard... I AM going to hack this thing. I might never be the guy from Deep Purple, but I will learn it!
I think we all start out on bad everything, but if we're afraid to play badly we'd never stay with it long enough to get good!
But just to debunk that logic there's AC/DC...

There's no logic that can't be debunked by AC/DC...especially when you turn it waaay up...

Why do you say 'terrible lyrics', Brian? You never drove through Arizona?

Yeh I must confess I have been to Arizona. I thought it was a great place. I imagine hell to be quite a bit hotter. You know we get pretty hot here too. Temperatures in the high 30's and up to the low 40's C are quite common all summer long. So the heat does not bother me.
I suppose that I just don't like lyrics that glorify the dark side of life here or in the hereafter. I confess I am a bit of a prude in that regard.

Hell's definitely hotter than Arizona...I was comparing them culturally. Although I don't think hell has as many meth labs, though...harder to get sudafed in quantity, I guess.
To each his own, lyrically and otherwise. I, for example, don't like lyrics that glorify either the dark side or the light side too much or to the exclusion of the other. To me, you can't have a universe without both. I confess I am a bit of a Hindu in that regard.

A great man once said...
"So... so you think you can tell... heaven from hell?"
Yin and Yang. Without darkness there would be no light, just a constant we'd take for granted.
