Was there one of Ringo's first couple albums that had John, Paul & George on one of the tracks? I seem to remember something about them all laying down there tracks at different times. But again, I'm getting old and I'm probably remembering something that never happened!!!

The "Ringo" album (1973) featured all of the ex-Beatles (okay, no Pete Best or Stu or Tommy Moore or...) though I believe only the Lennon-penned track that opened the album, "I'm The Greatest", had Ringo, George and John playing at the same time....and Billy Preston and Klaus Voorman.

George and Ringo co-wrote "Photograph" while Paul (and Linda) wrote and played on "Six O'Clock". Paul also played on the cover version of "You're Sixteen"...the mouth sax solo!

George (and Mal Evans???) contributed "You And Me (Babe)", which featured Ringo rappin' over the ending of the song; rapping in the manner that rapping meant back in 1973.

There may have been more, but this is off the top-of-me-head. This is also the only Ringo album I could ever stomach.

I know that Marc Bolan was on a track and members of The Band also contributed.

Quite the Rock Superstar album.

But stay away from "Goodnight Vienna" (1974)...even with more Lennon contributions, and Harry Nilsson and Elton John and Billy Preston and Nicky Hopkins and Robbie Robertson and...

There's another Ringo album out there with Paul & George on it, it's the Stop and Smell the Roses album which came out in the early 80's. It's kinda mediocre. I think Rotogravure has Paul, John, and George tunes on it as well. But that one isn't a great album.

I have an opening for a drummer. Must have vintage rock'n'roll experience and a good attitude. Does anyone have Ringo's phone number?

I might be able to get it from my friend, guitarist Steve Dudas, who's in the Roundheads. Or I could have Steve tell Ringo to call you.

The most memorable to me are Photograph, Your Sixteen, and It Don't Come Easy. My fav is It Don't Come Easy.
A George tune for it and it has lots of nice parts. The bass, guitar, horns, and of course the Drums.

Speaking of the Roundheads, I like the new LP.

Brian: I like it too. It's very well produced and Ringo sounds great on drums and ... dare I say it ... good singing. As I said elsewhere here, though, you have to wonder how much ProTools has improved his pitch. Steve Dudas and I played in a few bands together and shared an apartment when he was in Pittsburgh in the early '70s. He was a great guitarist at 19 and he's even better now. Probably the most positive, humble man I've ever met. He's been a fixture in L.A. for almost the last 30 years and has written songs for Aerosmith, Ozzy and others. How many of us dreamed of playing with a Beatle? Steve made it!
