I am putting a new bridge(badass. of course) on a 4003-
Mark,my question is: when I measure from the inside of the nut to the witness point on the bridge saddle---how far must I move the bridge saddles back before I make my measurement.(1/3 back?)
I have also heard it is important to add 1/16 or 1/8 to the final number- why is this important?
Thank you
Jeff
New bridge placement-how to?

THe math is this .......
The edge of the nut/fretboard , to the center of the 12 fret .
Double that and for a guitar add 1/16" to the treble and 5/32" to the bass.
For a BASS , you use the nut to the 12 th , doubled , then add 5/32" .
With a BadassII bridge , I cut a block of wood to sit under the plate . Then install the screws .
You can then make the "Geddy plate" to go around the outside if you need/want to .
