Decision reversed; PRS to make Singlecuts again

I know most here aren't fans of PRS, but this is exciting news for me and many others. I've wanted a Singlecut Trem model for a while but refused to pay the ridiculous eBay prices, which will surely plummet now. Got my fingers crossed for a Singlecut Trem with 3 P-90's.
Plus, the "evil empire" (Gibson) gets struck down! Always a pleasant sight.

This is very interesting reading, and for anyone interested in Rickenbacker's aggressive pursuit of copycats and counterfeiters, on grounds of infringement of trade dress protection, it's informative and good background.
Note that Gibson nailed their own coffin by offering so many vartiations of LPs over the years, such that their original (and un-updated) design patent became unenforceable.
The case centered around whether Gibby's granted design patent was infringed upon by PRS' shape, when converted from the two dimensional (plan) view into a 3-D instrument, and whether it caused consumer confusion when seen across a large showroom or possibly from a distance in a smoky bar!
IMO it's gonna be awhile before PRS starts production on singlecuts again, and then a new category will emerge on eBay--the "pre-lawsuit" singlecut, which will be overpriced just as are "handcut inlay" Dragons...

If that's what you wanted, why would you ever NOT just get a Gibson Les Paul?? WHY WHY WHY?
Ugh! Excuse me while I go out and buy a Jackson super strat with a skull and cross bones painted on it or whatever.
Ugh!
