I saw this thing yesterday. It's also on USA eBay.
The neck pickup hack is irreversible, unless you were to piece in a patch of maple and then JG it.

Even though I purchased a 1966 360/12 in 1967, I must confess that is the only Ric body style that I am not a overly enamoured with.
Still its a shame to see any Ric hacked by an amateur in the pursuit of a sound more to his liking. I just cringe when I see stuff like this.

It's an ex-guitar. But seriously, folks...
Repair as described above, solid color refin possible. Refret, rewire, strip and respray, parts (new or vintage?), etc.
Including the $600-700.00 that it looks like our friend Gary is gonna pay for it, by the time it's done, it should cost about what a nice, unbutchered one would be worth. But it's a Rick, and it is solid, from the looks of it.
Now, if somebody was doing it for sentimental value, that makes even more sense...

Poor baby. Something like that was why I got my new Ric in the first place. I had a 69 Kustom guitar. My drummer buddy I sold it too put some bigger pickups in it than that and basically proceeded to trash it some more.
He offered it back to me for three hundred. I thought it was the same and was gonna buy it until I saw it and cried. Then I bought my Ric.
Sad thing it got trashed but I love my Ric.

Heck, just chuck a couple of Dimarzio Super Distortions in her, add a Floyd, and you're good to go.
