Last night i looked at http://www.rickbeat.com and i wondered, where is the difference between model 460 and model 620. To me, the look and read most the same!

There are many differences. The main thing is fretboard on the 620 is higher off the body than a 400 series. Of course, you can tell that the 600 series uses a smaller pick guard, etc......

Florian: A good question. As John points out there are indeed many differences in appearance and feel. By the same token there are similarities and a couple of these would be the solid-body neck-through construction and to a degree the body shape. It would seem to me that the inspiration for the 600 series was the 450/460 models. John?

Peter, I would agree. However, I don't know why these models were offered simultaneously. They're basically the same guitar.

I've got a 620 and love it. Much better guitar than the 480 I had before.

OK, I asked, because i wanted to buy a 12-string and I decided for a 620/12. (a 460/12 was also on sale, but i did't like the fireglo on it, it looked a bit like someone had painted a thik red line over the mapleglo ;)
My new baby is in Mapleglo, it should arrive this week.
Like Roger McGuinn, or someone said: "Waiting for delivery is the worst part of buying a Ricky!"
