Excellent sound acoustically, buzzing when I play on the lower frets however. Currently has flats. I was told this bass was used primarily for recording in CBS studios.

Marc Seligman:"Now I've ruined her!!!"
...accompanied by the sound that Charlie Brown's Christmas tree made when all of the pine needles fell off.

A gorgeous bass for sure. Lovely vintage Fireglo. If my eyes don't deceive me, the nut being white is not original, and I would imagine the TRC was taken off when they replaced it.

The only reason I thought nothing was removed was because when I removed the pickguard, it was like the original sawdust from the screws going in was there, and when I removed the TRC, similiar and the paint from the TRC came off on the bass a little.
Must have been a studio bass or under someone's bed ' cause it sure don't seem like it's seen the light of day much...

Marc, my 68 was the same with the TRC. It "stuck" to the paint as I pulled it off to check out the rods. Yours looks like it still has the rubbing compound in the TRC recess too and around the control cavity..
