Hey guys,

I saw 2 360/12's on gbase, one is from 66' and the second is from 65'.

The guy wants 22/35K for these...
Is that the price range I should expect to see on the 360/12 I plan to bid on ebay?

Also - the body looks a bit like 330, no? I thought that since 64 or so the 360 were more roundish like the ones available today...

Nope. nope. nope.

Look at past threads and you will see a discussion of these prices and their significance. This dealer has had these at these prices for a number of months (at least).

These were the old style 360s, double bound. They are quite rare compared to the new style. The newer style (round) 360s are much more reasonable in price.

May I suggest picking up a copy of the Vintage Guitars Price Guide? Definitely not 100% accurate, but the ranges are a good indicator.

Pretty close to 10x. The seller describes the '67 as the 'exact' model George played. Not quite true since George's was a '63 with a trapeze tail not an R. The '66, which is also described as the 'exact' model George played, has taken a beating on the neck. I think both of these guitars have been on Gbase for quite a long time.

hey gil, your right about the shape of the guitar.the original 61',62',63'and 64'O.S.model and rose morris model was rounder! not many people notice this! the 65' models look slightly different. especially the 330 models.i wonder why? does anybody out there know why? maybe the original patter for that model was misplaced or lost when the company moved in the 60s'. i wonder if john hall and his associates are hip to that! yes the price is way too high!! i think everybodys praying for some token japanese collector to fly in an buy their. stuff thats why the prices are so hi!

The 'rounded', softer horns were not made until 1965. Prior, all of the 360's had the much more defined, sharper horns, much like the 330's.

Actually, the New Style (more rounded) was introduced (in small numbers) in mid '64.

hi guys! i'm talking about only the large horned guitars after 65'. the bodies arn't as round as George's or the ones made from 61'-64'. you have to look real close.
