Aren't the wavy grovers from the early '80s Ric basses the same??

I think they are Chris, also wouldn't tuners from a 68' have the original flat Grovers?

I’ve been buying mint sets for $150 to $225, and that's crazy high, I think.

However, they are hard to come by, and they always, in the end, fall apart.

I have 2 sets left. I need one for the 4080/12 restro that Dale’s doing. That leaves only one set left to replace my next Grover back explosion replacement.

If someone here wants these, please let me know, and I will not bid on them.

A 68 should have Kluson tuners, not Grovers. They appear in 69.

How much was the BIN? He's not selling at a reserve much recently after listing a Shadow three times that didn't sell, then shill sold it to himself on the 4th....

Interesting Dave. Never seen a 68 without the Klusons. My Dec 68 has them and an early 69 I saw once had then too. A mid 69 bass was the first I saw that had Grovers.

Possibly, your bass was hanging round the factory and was retro fitted with the new tuners. What's the serial number?
