I've decided to go short scale and am wondering if the c64 is more versitile than the c58 with the blend knob. I was " " this close to buying a c58 today but am wondering if the 64 is a better guitar or not. Thanks in advance.

I preferred the c58 when I played them, but had issues with the shorter scale since I learned to play on a 230 with a 25 inch scale. I thought the c58 sounded better and played better, but I would probably play both b4 I buy if I were you so you can decide for yourself.

I chose the C58 because of the Bigsby tailpiece. I just looked better.

I thought the C58 came with the Kaufmann vibrato. Am I wrong?

The C58 does indeed come with the Kaufmann Vibrola. But the B5 conversion is a popular one. Perhaps, Chris, yours already had this done before you purchased it?

Matt, the c64s haven't come out yet and you may have to wait quite a while before you can get one.

I suppose i should have specified that i almost ordered a c58 and was wondering if the c64 would be a better choice. I know i'll have to wait quite a long time for the c64 but is it worth the wait? or would the c58 be more versitle? Thanks Guys.

You COULD buy a c58 and "try" it for a while until the c64 comes out. THen, if you still like the short scale neck just "upgrade" (my opinion... the c64 is the sweetist of the C line!) to the c64 and trade in your C58, OR keep them both! The value of the c58 won't be lowered that much.

I bought the C58 because the C64 isn't available.

Matt, I have both 325C58 & 325V63. I luv' em both. The C58 gives that great early vintage sound and visual vibe, also very light and comfortable to play. The V63 is a little slimmer but a tad bit heavier. However, you are able to adjust the tone quality more than you can with the C58. All in all they are both great guitars. I'm sure the C64 will be a bit better than the V63 as far as accuracy to the original. I don't think you could go wrong with any of these models, it really comes down to what look, feel & vibe you are looking for. Good luck with your decision!

How well do these guitars respond to distortion? For example.. how would it sound playing revolution? Would it sound like ****? would the pickups be noisy?
