And I The End ...

You will notice that a couple of threads got completely out of hand last evening. They were, in my view, over the top and are now toast. As always, some very good ideas and comments were lost as the editing of offending bits renders the remaining posts nonsensical or out of context. To those persons I apologize. Your thoughts deserved better.
The inflammatory comments made about the instruments we love were unacceptable. To what end? They were of limited heuristic value, served to drive others away and offended and hurt Rickenbacker lovers, myself included.
I am reminded that a reputation is hard to achieve and easily lost. None of us can control EBay, the marketplace or the future. But we can excercise control of what we say in the present and that is the price of posting. I do not see the point of getting another bass if it means losing a friend. It's a new day, and I am reminded that this place is for fun. Let's move on.
