I picked this up at pawnshop for $39 with a Fender gigbag. It's a "Made in Indonesia" Squire but it plays better than the MIA Fender "Highway One" I used to own.

funny, my best friend bought an exact replica of that one for $25 recently from his coworker. it's one of the ones that comes with the "Strat-Paks". He upgraded all of the electronics and the thing sounds pretty damn good. he had to do some work on the fret edges as they would cut you.

Isn't that two guitars that you have bought recently Mitch?

You're GF is going to strangle you while you sleep. LOL

Sounds like it was a good deal though.

Here's my cheapo. I love it. Great sound and customized all for less than $100.00 CDN.

Nice colour, Mitch! Here's my "El Cheapo" Chinese Squier:

It's really not a bad guitar! Drops out of tune regularly, but as far as playability is concerned, it's fine. It sounds like the real thing, too. Mind you, I payed about $250 for it new a few years ago!!

Love (again) that pickguard, Brian!!

Thanks Howard,

I originally intended to put this one on a wall in my guitar room as a piece of art. Well I made the mistake of setting up the intonation and playing it right after I did all the mods.

I still don't have a piece of "guitar art" for my wall.

Speak to Tony Carey..... he does 'real' guitar art!!

I'm starting to get ideas about a new guard for my Squier..... something typically Aussie..... beer stains!!

I might even do it today! It's AFL Grand Final day over here and I'm going to an all day (and night) food and grog fest at the home of one of my greatest pals. The spa will be heated up, the beer in the 'ridgy didge' cooled and the telly on!!

Women are coming too, so it's not a 'blokes only' thing!!

Thanks Patrick,

It's actually a Squire that was dressed up and made playable. It has a Union Jack tremolo cover plate too.
