I suspect that tacos wasn't the only item on the menu.

But of course.

But my all-time favorite Taco stand is on the far end of Avenida de RevoluciĆ³n in TJ, across the street from the Jai Alai palace, about a half-block down.

Best darned carnitas tacos on the planet, and last time I was there they were $1.10.

no, no beers with it. i tend to save my drinking for the weekends unless i go out during the week. normally i'd have mountain dew with EVERYTHING but i have cut it out cold turkey. i gotta lose some weight and cutting out all of that sugar is a good start.

ImageHmmmmmmmmm... tacos! Tacos and beer!

I wonder if anyone can answer a question... down here in this 'ol Tex-Mex border town, if a taco is wrapped in a flour tortilla, we call it a mariachi. A taco (to us) is wrapped in a crispy-fried corn tortilla.

Is this just a local thing, or do these designation variances exist elsewhere?

A curious taco lover wants to know!

Too bad most of you haven't enjoyed the pleasure of a local fast food joint that we have here in Western New York: Mighty Taco. They beat the snot out of Taco Bell any day, hands down. All of the two times I went to Taco Bell, it was the same thing. The taco meat was cold, the nacho cheese was cold, and the refried beans are cold. The only thing that was warm was my soft drink. Mighty Taco all the way.

The best tacos are the ones I make myself (in crispy totilla shells) of course! My kids love 'em too!

Beer is not an option - it's mandatory!!!

I gotta second Mighty Taco. If only they had one in Rochester or Albany!
