They really are nice basses and I will problably regret selling it but I have a Fireglo 4001V63 that I prefer and need to sell the C64S to fund a Hofner that I have my eye on. I'd keep it if I could but its time to let it go.

Oh trust me. You will regret it.
After selling a C64, and a C64S I should now.
Mr. Rubio up there has my last one.

I must say Geoffrey, your C64S has the nicest wood grain I have seen in any C series basses.

Bob, I've really gone back and forth on selling this one so I problably will regret it. It's one of those cases that if it doesnt sell I wont be upset. Funny thing is the RIC dealer here in town has none (Rickenbackers of any kind) and rarely has a RIC while two ebay sales at this moment here in Lincoln,NE are the C64S and someone else has a 4080.

It's a shame you're parting with it. I have one in Jetglo (there are a few) and I love it. I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of my Fireglo C64.

I played a couple C64's in NYC back in June. The "S" was by far the better felling bass.

Really nice wood on this one!

Geoffrey

What Hofner are you looking at?
I'd love to get a '63 reissue!

Kevin, I've got my eye on a antique violin finish club bass. I've got an early cavern reissue, 1999 fireglo 4001 V63 and a Guild B30E. I've had a number of cool guitars (325V59, 1967 RIC 950, 2030 bass and others. I play for hobby and with 4 kids I need to sell sometimes to get the next one (guitars that is not kids Image. Kind of like a good book-check it out, enjoy it and turn it back in for others to enjoy. John Simmons has the RIC 950 that I used to have. And thanks Jeff, condolences accepted. I might be kicking myself in the bASS down the line.

At least you had the pleasure of owning one. It will provide for years of fond memories.

Finally got myself registered on this forum (some mix up with activation key). I now own Geoff's C64S. It is everything I'd hoped for. I absolutely love the 'S' features -- particularly the satin finish. The sound took a bit of getting used to. I've been playing a MusicMan Sterling and it's completely different sounding. But I'm there now. Geoff - I know you'll end up with another one of these some day. Did you get the Hofner you had your eye on?

I'm just about to go for the club bass---just going back and forth trying to decide between the regular finish and the antique violin finish. Anyone out there using one with the antique finish that has any opinions on it? It's between the Club and a V62. I have a Cavern bass so the V62 wouldnt be terribly different as opposed to the Club with a different look. Decisions, decisions Glad you are enjoying the C64S Rich! Th.at was a tough decision to sell
