Klipsch Cornwall Speakers Wanted!!!

Post by ratso »

Anyone know of a nice clean and original set of Klipsch Cornwall stereo speakers available? I'd put them to good use, I promise!

Ron, there's a Klipsch Forum!

I joined when I bought my Klipsches last June.

Members post for sale stuff frequently.

Paul, I didn't see any specific Sale area there (like we have here). Am I missing something?

They redid everything since I visited last time (maybe 6 weeks ago...)

I even had to re-register. And it looks like you'll have to wade through some posts, or post a "want" ad there.

Don't give up hope, Ron!

As I recall, it wasn't a specific sales area. But there were lots of posts back in June. Maybe they go thru cycles? Maybe you have to join? I'm not sure...

I got my new password but still can't log in. They are having some glitches. Will try again tomorrow.

I'll look a bit closer in the meantime I have found a plain black set with no cloth but would prefer a nice finished piece of furniture to match the room, so my search continues. I've read a lot of good things about them. Can't wait to hear em with my McIntosh MC 240!

Chris, Can't say that I've experienced the KM4's first hand. In fact, I have only learned of and owned Klipsch heresys in the last year. Fell in love with them and have recently come into a Mac MC240 amp that everyone says I should marry up with Cornwalls. I read up on them and now am pretty convinced to buy a pair! Do you still own some KM4's?

I've got a pair of KM4s & a couple of KSB 3.1s. I'm not an "audiophile" by any means, but I love Klipsch speakers. I bought 'em about 10 years ago - they weren't top of the line Klipsch, but somewhere in the middle. What's strange is that on the Klipsch discontinued product page it says that they were specially made for the armed forces (?!). I've never been in the service & I bought them at a HiFi Buys in Atlanta GA...so you tell me.

Those speakers are the bomb though. Whenever the band records, the ultimate test seems to be "how they sound through Chris' speakers".

Good luck on your quest!

Years ago, I had a Mac tube setup and used it through some AR3as. Great sound. Through Klipsches should be excellent.

I did just pick up a pair of perfect KG3.5s on the 'Bay for $102.00. Amazing little guys.

I was lucky to find my Heresy's at a garage sale a year or two ago for less than $50. Here is a pic of them in my music room. I really didn't know too much about them other than that Klipsch was a quality brand. Well, I brought them home and couldn't believe the clean crisp tones of every note. The ivories of a baby grand sound like they are right under my fingers! I can only imagine what the Cornwalls will sound like thru the Mac setup.

Just missed a nice pair of Cornwalls in Phoenix because seller wouldn't ship! Damn!! He had a $649 BIN on eBay for several days.

Anyone here know of any available? Prefer clean originals (hopefully teak but not necessary).
