I am looking for some decent pics that everyone can post here on this thread of Burgundyglo finishes---all year models, guitar or bass...It is for an upcoming project that will be detailed on the Vibrola Technical Forum. I would also like to hear what all of you prefer in terms of this particular finish, lighter or darker? Post away and thank you.

Here's a nice one John....this is the lighter shade of Bergundy...listed here as translucent red with some good pics:

I prefer the ones that are a little darker than this, but not the very dark ones that are almost hard to distinguish from Jetglo.
Henny's Bergundy that he sold springs to mind...I think it was a '72?...anyway that was really nice.

Unfortunately I don't own a Bergundy instrument, but there are forum members who do, who will hopefully post some pics for You.

No probs John.
There are some great shots of that bass on the forum where the finish shows up real nice, but I don't know exactly where in the archives they are....maybe Henny will chime in and post some.

My early 73 Burgundyglo 4001. I have a number of high resolution clear photos of it if interested. Drop me a note.

A beautiful bass, Jon. You've got mail...
Wow Gary, How many fretless 4000s do you think they made? Pretty rare. Very nice basses there..

I think I've seen only one other, one that was on eBay a few years ago. There can't be too many, that's for sure!
