Christmas 2002 - Please Tell My Wife

Just in case my wife should send anyone on the Rickenbacker Forum an email asking what I might like for Christmas, please tell her that "Peter would be happy with a
360/12C63". I'll do the same for you! So just register what you would like to have here and your partner can find out what you would like to see under the tree. BTW, I don't mind waiting until after Christmas for mine to arrive.

Peter, I had the pleasure of playing a 325C58 over the weekend. Very, very nice; Rickenbacker has done a fine job. The build quality is top notch--the finish on this guitar(natural alder) seems a tad dark in comparison to the pictures of original '58 325s that are finished similarly. BUT--a great guitar nonetheless....
IMHO if the others in the series are as good as this one, they are worth the bucks.

Since it looks like like my left-handed 730L FG won't be here in time for my birthday on Thursday, I'll settle for it to be under the Christmas tree.

Richard: I would be interested in why you chose the 730L. Have you had the chance to play one? If so, I would like to hear your thoughts.

For some time, I’ve wanted a quality acoustic that is different from what you see most people playing (i.e Martin, Taylor, Gibson). I’ve always like creating my own sound. After attending the NAMM show in January, I basically chose the 730L instead of a Gallagher G-65, because I’ve been pleased with my others Rickenbackers.

Peter, I don't know why RIC has not blessed you with a complimentary C-Series guitar. I've mentioned this before, and I'll mention it again. For the services you've provided here and the inpirations that this website has encouraged, you are to be applauded.
I hadn't played my Rick in 10 years before I happened across the Rick Forum. As a result, I have re-kindled my love for Rickenbacker guitars and have just purchased a new one. You should at the very least receive a commission for the sale! I hope to buy more in the future. I could not imagine that you have not helped the cause for RIC. I am sure that this site is appreciated by them -- I don't know why it wouldn't be.
Anyway, perhaps you have a better chance of John Hall presenting a C-Series to you than getting one under the tree?
