My latest - it wasn't a "model 430"!

This one just arrived today. A few weeks ago I found an ad for a "model 430" in red with black trim, and correctly guessed it actually was one of these:

A Model 320 Red, ZI (September 1986) date code. Overall good shape (it needs a good cleaning), fretboard perfect shape, on the back there are some minor dings and a couple of marks that I think I can buff out, and the blend knob is missing its aluminum top insert. But the black bridge cover is there! Non-original HSC, as the seller said that the case it had (which may or may not have been the original one) was beat up badly. Not a bad deal for something one doesn't see too often.

Did you get it for 430 price Gary?

Not really, it was $840 with sales tax and shipping, a bit more than what a 430 would run nowadays. Not a bad price, though, for a 320 in an atypical color, I'd say!

Very striking and unusual instrument, Doctor. This is #43, I take it?

Does it have the model number on the TRC?

It's #41, as my "head count" included this one and the 4003S/5 SPC that I'll be getting today (#42).

It doesn't have the model number on the TRC; I'll have to check to see whether my silver 320 has it (also a black trim guitar).

Just curious; it appears as though the model # TRCs were a fling in the earlier '80s.

I wasn't sure about the exact dates, JW; thanks for beginning to set me straight.

What were they, ennyway?

Gary, if you're counting those which haven't landed yet, Aitch has filled his house, and I've got the most comprehensive Capri collection on the planet! LOL of course...

Yeah..... and another one added yesterday! You do mean Ford Capri, don't you Paul? (smiley so small you can't see it)

Actually, I looked at my from-memory sheet earlier today and realized that I had not included the 380L PZ, the 4003 Shadow, or the 4002 AUT (how'd I miss that?), so I think my count is off by three, making the current in-hand count 44 (the 4003S/5 SPC didn't arrive today, I'll get it Monday Image).

Let's see it, Aitch!

Some on the Forum have compared their sound to that of a Les Paul.... Cool!

Wow, your collection has really been growing fast lately! Congrats! Image
