Well well... It seems there's a showdown for the 4001S on there.

I wish I could say I had a down payment on it, but I don't have the money. It's just that the 4001S in Mapleglo is my ultimate-dream-bass-of-all-time. The Bass Palace had one a while ago (actually, I think it's the same one), and it suddenly disappeared from the site, and when I emailed to ask what happened, they never emailed back.

I love that site. Very cool indeed.

They may be good guys, but didn't we agree that the 69 4001 they claim to be "ALL ORIGINAL EVERYTHING" has a lapsteel horsey?

And your right... you all do know too much. The things you point out i would never see in a million years. Your like look at the screws! Haha... Even after you point things out i dont get it. Oh well.

That's a sweet lookin bass. I never knew Music Man made 2 pickup bass. Well, I don't count the Bongo.. I was thinking a more conservative shape. If I were to get a Stingray. I'd add the second pup.

I want a Ric and yeah i have that much money... But the thing is i cant find one i want lol. And im paranoid as ___ (word of your choice). That and Sabres from what i here are rarer then Rics lol. But nothings set yet.

Ok the thing is what model? 4001 or 4003? I've read you like the 4001's slimmer neck.. well look on e bay for the color of your choice. That's how I got mine. First look and there it was. Of course I overpaid (cuz I was younger and dumber then) but I got what I wanted and I love the thing. I do need to do some player mods to it (It's not a show piece) but I get what I want out of it. I will not play a bass that can't get close to or nail the Ric sound.

You looking for a Fireglo? or Burg? Or what? Lol
I love the stripe in the 70's Mapleglo.

I like FG Burg and That Azur or whatever blue color haha. Iv been checking Gbase and Musicgoround and Ebay every now and then. But whenever i find something im ready to go for it always gets sold by the time i get Chip to check it out. Chips my teacher btw... Hes awesome and i feel better if he checks it out. Ya know? But yeah. Its a ric or a spector or musicman sabre. Thing is bout the spector i want a prekramer... haha I dont have that kind of money.

Oh and 4001. I like thinner necks if possible.

No I have my one and only 4001. I was gonna sell it.. but it's my first Ric.. sentimental value. Mine's Jetglo BTW.. hehe.
