I got Brian's CS and I'm considering bypassing the cap on it. I usually do this to all my Rics, but with something this valuable in 'original' condition I'm hesitant. Thoughts?

The cap mod is easily reversible, If you were doing a mod that had a permanent result, it would lower the value of the instrument.
Have someone who is good at soldering do the mod for you if you haven't had much experience doing it.

Hmmm... I have a 4001CS, and other than taking the shoes off, did no mod. The 4001CS I found roars; I did do that mod on my C64S in an effort to get it sounding closer to my CS!
