Odd mix

Post by bassduke49 »

This is kinda odd: black binding and hardware with white pickguard and TRC. Easy to make black again, I suppose.

Yeah, it would look much better with a black pickguard and TRC since the hardwasre is black.

Different. Kinda cool. I still think I'd like black plastic best, but you'd have to see it in person.

I just sent them an email and told them their bass is not a 4003s. That is an odd configuration.

Scott, I just saw the other day a midnight blue with black binding and hardware. I have to think where I saw it, but it was mint and had a really good price, somewhere around $900.

This one has almost all the undesirable features IMHO. MID/BT - one of my least favorite combinations - so 80's! BT really doesn't go well with Midnight Blue. Then there's the humped pickguard and the fat horns...

That was a bass i bought on e-bay for dirt cheap and traded that and another one i had for a vintage jazz bass. I think it was around 700.00 . anyway ,the bonehead who owned it before changed the original black logo and guard for a white logo and guard . Blue on black definitely looks better than this interesting color combo .
im getting to old for this ****

If anybody needs me to check that bass out I'd be willing to do so for them as I'm in the ATL.
