Chiming through the storm ...

OK, I'm a Fort Lauderdale dude, Wilma is bearing down on us, I am starting to hear strange sounds. I do have storm windows, and I spent the day preparing, but it's always a little scary with these things, especially since tornados are expected this time. I have been chiming away on all three of my Ric's, until the power goes out. I will probably stay up all night, watching the storm roll in, with more chiming in between. I played U2 "The First Time" on my 330, through my FlexTone III, it sounds so full and beautiful. They say, if I hear a tornado coming, I should jump in the bathtub, and cover myself with pillows. I will do so, but, do you think I can fit myself, and all three of my Ric's in the bathtub, with me? Wasn't there are a recent thread about Ric's in the bathtub ? Anyway, please wish the four of us well.

hey Steve, How'd you make out? I was not comfortable staying in my home, so as we happened to own another house that we are setting up for our oldest son, who is getting out of the Army after 6 years and 2 combat tours. House is partially furnished and built well with hurricane shutters all around, so I moved all my guitars and amps. oh yea important papers to, and we hunkered down there. We had water blowin in under the front door. Glad we were on the north side of the storm. After Charley last year everybody was freakin out abit.. I entertained the family include the in laws by making up funny hurricane songs on the fly which they all enjoyed. Now I wish I had recorded them. my minds a blank now??? Duh, oh well storms gone. only 30 some more days left of the season

Steve & Brian:
I hope you and yours made it through the storm safely. I hear Wilma is gaining strength now and coming up the coast. We'll probably feel some effects tomorrow here in NJ, but nothing like what you guys went through.

Hey everyone, I lost power, it may not be back for weeks, they say, which means I can't play plugged in for awhile. Those bare necessities, we take them for granted, all too often. My yard got thrashed, along with everyone else's. The only bright sides are (1) I wrote a song about it, (2) a cold front moved in, so I can open the windows, and not sweat to death, and (3) tonight, I am hanging out at a pretty girl's house, who has electricity but no running water. She showered at my place today

Thankfully you've got a few things on the plus side going for you... Having no power is pretty rough, but atleast it's not like -40! Hehe.
I hope it won't take too much time/effort to clean up the mess and that everything's back up and running shortly.
