Tailpiece PING

I have recently aquired a 330/6 (after years of owning 12;s).
Everytime I bend a string - notably the 1st-2nd-3rd strings - I hear a PING which sounds like it is coming from the tailpiece. I believe it is the end wrappings moving around.
Is this a common problem and does anyone know a good workaround?
Strings D'Addario 10's
Thanks in advance,

Actually, the ping is more likely coming from the little slot in the bridge saddle.See if the edges of the slot have a burr on the metal.Fine sandpaper could take care of that. ALSO, a tiny bit of Vaseline applied to the slot on a toothpick
may help, or a small drop of oil.Try this, and if that doesnt work, get back to us.

Don
Thanks much for the reply - will give a shot at this ASAP and post back if that does not remedy the situation.
Thanks again

Mike;
One other thing it could be, though I don't think so based on your report, if you don't have the ball end "seated" or pulled snug in either the R or trapeze tailpiece,even though the string has been tuned up to pitch, bending the string could cause movement of the string and make a sound in that area, but I think the saddle is still the offending location.

Miguel - thanks for the suggestion. In this case, it would happen even whilst not freting.
Don - your suggestion work! I very lightly used 400 grit sandpaper on the notches, then lighly vaselined etc and we have success! Thanks much for the suggestions
