ask him to send you a different picture. Maybe a pose that you suggest. If he can't do it....well, you do the math.

I usually ask for a pic with my name scribbled on a crinkled piece of paper layed onto or next to the guitar.......pretty hard to fake that.

Anyone here live in VT to check it out?

I'm about 2 hours away, I wish I was closer. I'd love to check that out. He does list "local pickup" as a payment option. Peak foliage season in central VT was a few weeks ago. It might have made a nice day trip for someone to check it out.

I sent him an email this is what The response was ,this auction is extremely fake............He never left any attached pictures.

Hello I tried to call but I couldn't pass because of the busy line. The buy it now price for this guitar is 2000 Euros. I am located in Spain at the moment and I will ship it from here. I have a little vintage shop here and the local shipping offices are offering me a discount period so for this guitar so the buy it now price will include shipping and insurance if selling in Europe. You will only have to pay for packing witch will cost about 10 euros. I also attached some pictures of the guitar. Thank you,
Jan

P.S. I will end the auction early so there is no need to bid if you are interested in buying. You can buy it now for 2000 euros. The reserve price is set at 2200euros.

That's mine! Same serial #:UJ3589 Nothing to do with me or the fellow I bought it from. He's honest, & the pics are all lifted from the same auction where I bought it.
It's sitting comfortably in my house in Nova Scotia, so unless Rick produced 2 4080's with the same serial # IT'S A SCAM!!!!!

I asked for a pic of the serial#, & where he got the guitar, "since finding 2 with the same serial# is quite rare"Image
He even lifted the description from Bob's auction. Couldn't even be bothered to write his own. The 2 pics posted are lifted directly from the real auction.

Also, notice it says:

"Up for bid is a 1981 Black with white pickguards Rickenbacker Doubleneck electric guitar, all original with NO RESERVE!"

And then at the top it says:

"Current bid: US $580.00 (Reserve not met)"

I have asked where I can pick it up from if I win. And guess what, by shear co-incidence, wherever he says is just where I will happen to be on my holidays next week!

What nerve! The auction does say Wallingford, VT USA. I used to live near there, but now I'm about 2 hours away. I hope nobody sends him their money.
