I just went through the stack and found that AMS sells these for $599.97, Musician's Friend for $599.99, and Zzounds for $599.00, so you're right in the ballpark as far as the usual guys are concerned. All offer free shipping to the US.

A nice guitar but needs the pups & pots replaced as an upgrade.
Just done the above with GFS Retrotron Nashvilles, CTS pots , sounds like a Gretsch now LOL!
Installing pups & wiring is not easy though....!

I had a Sheraton II a number of years ago, which I actually bought in preference to an ES335. I couldn't justify the extra money for the Gibson, and I regret selling it to this day. I did no upgrades - it sounded just fine to me. However, the gold plating on the pickups lasted no time at all, and the pots did need replacing (or a good clean) when I sold it.
$599 is as good a deal as you'll find, as Lindsay points out. However, you're paying $150 for the decoration over and above a 'regular' Epiphone Dot - and only you can determine whether that's worth the extra money.

Thanks guys I really want a Gibson ES335 but this seems to be a reasonable alternative.
I just wanted to make sure that it was not overpriced. I have dealt with Music 123 and they are great to do business with.
Have any of you experienced finish problems with these guitars other than the gold plating issue already cited?

I'm sure they're cool, but I don't understand why anyone would name a guitar after a hotel chain...
Then again, I don't understand why anyone gives a damn what Paris Hilton says or does...

Thanks but no thanks Doc...er...Dane, If I have reason to do that ("up and about" etc.) it will have to be for another reason.
K...rap is indigenous? I thought it was a fairly new and not so well developed attempt to emulate real music.
So what century does that style hail from?
