There were about 100 instruments at the MARF. I'd like to know some peoples' favorites.

For me, the 4005's were a real treat. I was kinda smitten with John Williams' Blue Boy 4005.

Which was YOUR fave????

Didn't we just discuss this over dinner?

For me, it was either the 4002 or perhaps the Banjoline... or the Mandotar, or the 360F or maybe Ken S's beautiful Dolan MB 4001V63, or...

We had SIX 4005s!!!, two of them WBs.

Well, for ME.....Ken Swearingin's '69 and '72 MG 4001's stand out......and his "DolanV63 Special" was fantastic looking in person...all of Dave Pascoe's instruments were exceptional, especially the 5002 mandolin! What great sounds came from that little dynamo of an instrument! There were two 850 combos there and they both sounded great....too many to mention at this point....but my favorite HAD to be that 4002 that someone brought Image

Well, other than mine, Chris' 4002 and Ken's '72 4001 were certainly my two favorites but Ken's V63 Monty and Dave's 4003s8 FireGlo were right up there as well.

Ken's old 4001S, being the closest thing to an RM1999!

4005s looked great, too.

Crikey, wish I was there.

The bass to play was Chris's 4002.

The bass of beauty was Ken's MBv63

The bass that is phenomenal work is Brian's LK

Speaking of Brian's LK, it was so great of Ric to get it back to him in time for MARF.

That was the first time I saw one in person, and played a LK. I loved the oiled neck.

My favorite was David's Blond Combo 850. This guitar had a great variety of Fantastic Tones utilizing the switching system. I've been waiting to play one of these for several years. It was far better than expected.
