Hey Fellas!,
I thought I would voice some of my opinions on the BPod Live...
The modeling sounds very good of course! Better than the amp sims on the Boss GT6B I think The GT's models were very easy to overload.
The distortions are quite good , but I really liked that you could mix dry and distortion on the GT6B on the Bpod Live they really suck out quite a bit of low end, except for the Bass Overdrive which is a good model of the Sansamp Bass Driver.
I also liked that you could reassign eveything in the effects chain on the GT6B. On the BPod Live you can choose pre or post amp model though, except for the stompbox models which probably would have helped the low end loss on the distortions.
The modulation effects are quite nice, the analog chorus mod and phaser are great. Not that I use them too much!
So far so good I guess. I kinda miss my old red Boss GT-6B though, but since I'm not playing out I really can't bring myself to buy another big amp setup, and the GT's amp models weren't cutting it through my old Ampeg B-15T(My only "real" amp currently!).
I thought guitar players were the ones that were supposed to search endlessly for the ultimate tone.

Sorry if this is a little off subject. But Im looking for something to give me some distortion without it being just annoying. Something not too pricey... But nothing cheaply made and what not. Thanks!

You can get some serious distortion sounds with the Bpod Live. Distrotion pedals and amp overdrives there all in there if you are willing to tweak a bit. I bough my Bpod Live for $360 at www.rmcaudio.com

Well You know. I dont like the extremely distorted sound. To me it begins to become annoying. Plus I have to hear it all day on guitars lol. I dont think I know a single guitarist that doesnt always have it on lol. I just figured it be kind of kool to have some. Iv listned to some sound bits on here and I like how it sounds. So yeah. But thanks Ill check that out.

If all you want is distortion, you might want to check out the Digitech Bass Driver. That's what I've got, and it works pretty well. For a digital pedal, it sounds very good, with a lot of variability, and it doesn't pull out very much low end. In fact, if you set it right, it can help your low end immensely (but that's at the expense of most of your treble). However, there is the disadvantage of it eating through batteries like a maniac, so you'd need a plug for it. Still, it's not expensive, and it's very versatile.

I personally, am looking to get a FullTone analog overdrive pedal, but until then, the Digitech works just fine.
