Hi all!
I just got a Hofner Strap for my EJ160E.
Does anyone know how to fasten the leather strap to the neck and the "D" Ring?
HELP!

I tied mine as so you loop the end around the neck down where it meets the body and I used a different clip, much like a very small key chain to hold it together... It's one of the most ridiculous contraptions I've seen. I always had the urge to stick a strap button on back...

I don't know if it is the same kind of strap on acoustics and basses but this pics helped me to tie the strap in my violin bass.
Cheers

How can something be so cool and so ridiculously overwrought at the same time?
Straps, sub-straps, dogclips, D-rings...
I'd love to see these instructions in the original German...

A friend of mine claims that the reason we won WWII was that we didn't have to deal with 'overwrought' nomenclature...
For example, an American Morse code sender on the front line had merely to requisition a 'T...R...U...C...K", while his German counterpart had to laboriously send for a "P...E...R...S...O...N...N...E...N...L...A...N...D...S...K...R...A...F...T...W...A...G...E...N".

The above post is proof positive that herb helps you focus and increases your attention span.

I think its a loopitroundtheneckenthingy.
Whoever came up with that design should be keelhauled. One little screw peg was all that was needed. I always wondered why Paul's strap attachment looked so funky.
same pix that Javier posted from N. Coast

It's one thing to be authentic and use authentic accessories, but doesn't that metal clip scratch the bass?

Scratches are authentic.
