Help IDing this Beatles Album

A "VJ Records" release from what looks to be 1964. I told the owner I was pretty sure it's a bootleg. Does anyone have any info on this thing?

No real info, but i remember seeing it in the stores, so i think it's legit.

It was a US LP released by VeeJay, not a bootleg. Songs included are Regular US mixes. I'm not sure where you could find out on the cover but it could be Mono or Stereo, it was realeased in both.
If you need the track list I can get that for you.

Which is nearly the same as the first issue of Introducing the Beatles on VeeJay except for Ask Me Why & Please Please Me replaced Love me do & PS I love you.
I don't know if the second issue of INTRO THE BEATS had the same cover (I had the first) which was John sitting and the other three lads standing around him. The photo had a brownish background, and the thing I remember most about the photo is that they seemed to have reddish almost mahogany colored hair. I wore that sucka out!!!

This was Vee Jay's attempt to cash in after giving up on the group when their "From Me to You" on Vee Jay didn't do well. Swan records also released "She Loves You." Both labels got in to the act because Capitol, EMI's American arm, passed on the Beatles the first time around.v I think it was one of the Capitol execs who told them, "Groups of four are out." What market savvy. I still have Vee Jay 45s, but my only copy of the Swan release melted (really!!)

By the way, On the INTRODUCING THE BEATLES cover with John in the chair, he looks decidedly 'nelly' as we used to say...

Yeah, he is trying to look suave, but I think a bit of public school rubbed off in his affect, despite his Brit working class hero denials.
I tagged in here late, but VeeJay (home of the Four Seasons!) owned some rights from mid-'63, when "Please, Please Me" was released as a single in the USA and tanked despite strong DJ promotion (p-a-y-o-l-a).
In '64, when they finally swept up the charts, I dragged out my PPM VeeJay single and really got my buddies questioning their sanity.
