Changes to my project

Without review the entire history, here's what I had before:

This happens to be a real good photo as well. I decided however, the gold and black was a bit much for my tastes, so I'm converting it to white and chrome.

I still need a white screened TRC and a white cap for the pickup selector. Otherwise the parts are there. It's in desperate need of a setup now, and the only one who can probably do it is Ted. The bass seems to respond to him.

Sorry Ted, but she may be making a trip to Chicago soon Image

you must have a lot of extra cash Marc - but it does look better w/ chrome and white

MUCH better!

You did the right thing, Marc....

I think the white/chrome really sets the seagreen off well.

Thanks Chris!

Actually Owen, this particular bass cost me almost mothing. It is a 1973. I sold off most of the original parts and did some bartering for the work.

Now that I've replaced the BT parts, they will be sold off.

I actually liked the look before......kind of quirky but I liked it!

It looks good now too though.....but in a traditional way.

Marc - I like the change. White and chrome seems to work better with Sea Green.

Marc, I have to agree, I'm not a big fan of gold guards and the new version looks 200% better in my book. Maybe on a dark color (JG, MID) the gold might look better.

Sometimes tradition is good! I think it looks better now, too. Gold guards look great on the right colors, like Fireglo or Jetglo.

"... I still need a white screened TRC "

There's one on eBay with $95 BIN.

I was looking at that Ilan. My concern is that I thought the made in USA goes across the bootom, not underneath the logo.

Guys please correct me if I'm wrong.
