Where is the serial number located on a 360?

For the most part yes, although you will find some exceptions to this rule such as in the case of the Model 450 for where the serial number has been seen on the bridgeplate. The acoustic models would also be another exception to the rule.

Was just browsing the data base and noticed this
Reg 1911 335 Fireglo 1961 Serial number 8C75
That serial number looks more like a '57 Combo800 than a '61 335fg. What do you think?

Excellent point Glen and one that has been commented on in an
earlier topic. It would seem that one explanation may be that the jackplate was replaced at some point.

Perhaps Mark was saying the serial is always on the jackplate for a 360 model. Another exception to the rule is my 260 model, which has the serial number on the plate where the neck and body bolt together.
Speaking of registrations, I still contend Reg 1588 is NOT a 260. A 260 made in 1965???
