One of those gigs...

Some gigs are good, some are a little more rough... but last night was magical. Packed venue, great crowd, the press was there, and our band (alternative rock) was spot on, really into it, and we had a blast. Girls wanted to have their picture taken with me after the show. ;P

Played my 72 most of the show and it was killer. Love the neck, and the tone I get out of my traynor YBA200 tube head makes them the perfect pair (so easy to dial in a great tone). I can really get a solid low while at the same time cutting through at the high mids (even with my fingerstyle).

Cool deal, John. Those "magic" moments seem to far outweigh the rough outings, IMHO. Image

Good job John...Please remember us from the top! We all want first dibs at your signature model...

I don't think they make signature models for mediocre bass players Marc.

However, when hell freezes over, my model would have the early 70's style small body, neck toaster, walnut stripe, full length inlays and checkerboard binding... flamed maple also. It would sell like hotcakes with those features. How about it John Hall?

John sez:

"I don't think they make signature models for mediocre bass players"

hmmm... then how do you explain this?:

That's a weird one........it looks like a really well done refin. I'm not a fan of Blue Boys, but that one looks terrific with the checkered binding.
