Are there any recordings of Entwistle using his 4001 available?

Here's a good resource on Entwistle's equipment:

Chris Squire, Geddy Lee and John Entwistle were my influences coming up, Im thinking real hard of investing in a Thunderbird so I can pay tribute to all of them.

They all play or played Ricks so you already are paying tribute to them!

Yeah, I know Jeff. Im just trying to rationalize the purchase of a Thunderbird. Image

Scott,

I had a Thunderbird before and man, I miss her, but certainly not the neck diving !!!

It's easy to rationalize Scott, if you don't already have one, then you need one! Just

I want a Thunderbird as well...Not sure if I should dabble with the vintage ones or just a get a new one.

Get a vintage one.

I have always wanted one too. Have you ever played one? Real neck heavy! A vintage '64 with no headstock repair would at least be $5000.

Maybe it's because I'm naturally left handed, but play righty, neck heavy doesn't bother me.

The neck dive doesn't bother me in the least, it's nothing compared to the Hamer 12 string I also play! If you move the strap button, it helps a LOT.
