Pickup Winding Setup

Sergio: When you get a chance I would like to see a photo of your pickup winding setup. You could email it to me and I would be pleased to post it on your behalf if you wish.

Well, Peter, I must confess I'm a little afraid of posting a photo of my pickup winder, as it is disarmingly simple and low-tech - honest! I've been using it for 24 1/2 years, and I'm sure it will take another 25 years of hard work! I'll try and have someone photograph it so that everybody can see it.

Sergio, don't do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. I can certainly say, low tech nor not, you wind an awesome pickup.

My pickup winder is hand-operated, the wire being hand-guided - keep it simple. Initially it had a turn counter, but not anymore - I rely on the coil DC resistance rather than the number of wire turns.
