My name is Skip and I just wanted to say hi and tell you all what a great site, I find this Rickenbacker Forum to be. I knew there were "Rick" people out in the world but you all are some serious heavyweights! Cool! To me, Ricks are cool and Tele's are boss. Dig 'em both.
From John Lennon to James Burton, these two gents are the inspiration in my guitar-playing world. --- Skipson

Thanks for the welcome, everybody! Although the sun is out and the birds are chirping, it feels melancholy today. A little later I will take hold of Jasmine (that's the name on the label pasted inside my little acoustic guitar) and strum some sweet Lennon rhythms. Jasmine is a friendly, eager to please lil' guitar. She and I will do John's music justice by playing with respect and grace. "Nowhere Man" sounds like a good song to start out with. ---Skip.

Hey, Skip...welcome...
It feels a little melancholy here in Denver today, too...partially because it's slowly warming up from an overnight low of minus 4F...supposed to get up to 30 this afternoon, but we'll see. My car wouldn't start last night...I have yet to suit up and try it again...
'A little later I will take hold of Jasmine' as well...that's our cat's name. She's pretty well ensconced by her favorite heating vent...we joke that her boyfriend 'Freddy the Furnace' lives in the crawl space...
Do you take requests? How about a little "It's Getting Better"...we can still imagine, can't we?

Hey, Kenn! I hail from just outside of Los Angeles. Rock n' roll, rockabilly, British Invasion, country, instrumentals....
I like lots of stuff. (If it moves me, then it's A-OK in my book!)

Welcome, Skip.... It is indeed a little melancholy today.... Gloomy and cold with a chance of snow....

Sorry to hear that your weather is so yuk! Sometimes, the only thing you can do to remedy the situation is to just pull the blankets up over your head and snooze! Zzzz!

That's always nice! But the best remedy is to sit in front of a blazing fire (but not too close), and jangle away on a Ric....

Pull out a blazing Fireglo and jangle on it!

"Wishing for a Rick by an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping at my nose.
I've been good you see, I always aim to please
Oh Santa, make my Rick come in Fireglo...."
