Pyramid rounds on Dakota

I put a set of pyramid rounds (10s)on my dakota, and the truss rod has bottomed out. I dont even have the nuts finger tight and the strings dont have enough tension to pull the neck forward. it is actually curved back a little.
I cant get rid of fret-buzz on the low strings
Do you think this is a manufacturing defect? Ifit is Im screwed because I have had the neck shaved down some. Or do you think the customization caused it? - although I dont see how taking wood off of the counterforce woudl make the neck curve back or stringer to the string tension... If anything I would think tha it helped the problem~?
Well Im at a loss, right now Im just looking for strings that put more tension on the neck. Ordered a set of P rnd 12s.

well I put the 12s on 2 days ago. It is almost amazing, I still have no tension on the truss rods. Except now the neck is in what I consiter optimal position. Holding the 1st and 12th fret the string has just enough room to sound when pushed down at the 5th.
Oh by the way the 12s are amazing to play on, although very thick they are supprisingly flexable. My sustain is out of this world - the whole guitar shakes when i play chords.
and the difference in the piezo pickups was well welcomed too.
still confused as to the truss rods though. My luthier likens it to humidity and says to contact him if it doesnt go away in time.

Josh, maybe you should check this forum's archives. Mark the M.D. explained every details on how to adjust your truss rods and the height of the strings, etc, etc, etc. And there is a very precise way to do it. I have been using this method with success and I don't have any complaints to do about my neck or about my strings buzing anymore! Good luck! Dan

well see, the problem is that there is not enough tension in the string to pull the neck forward. The truss rods act as a counter-force to sting tension.but the neck on my dakota seems to hold its own against string tension. I would assume that the neck is curved backwards without any forces exerted on it and if I tighten the truss rods it will only go back further.
Currently my truss rods are comepletely disengaged with a set of 12s on it and the setup is correct. but I would like to use 11s at soem point cuz the 12s are beasts. I cant put a thinner string on cuz that would not exert enough force to pull the neck forward. It really has nothing todo with how to usethe truss rods (they are a fairly simple concept)but mor eto do with something wrong with the neck.
When you put stings on a guitar and you have no truss rods, it should pull forward considerably - mine barely pulls to straight with 12s.....
