I know in the 70s the high gains were about 8k ohms and modern high gains are 11k ohms ... and the 4003s5 used 15k ohm pickups for the treble high gain pickup ... and I know the guitar high gains are the same basic pickup ...

But I got a guitar 6 pole high gain off of ebay and it measures 16k ohms ... it is an 80s high gain ... it came off of a Ric guitar of some sort and it has a black surround/cover ...

I never knew that Ric put 16k high gains in a guitar ...

Jeff: I have measured high gains from the 1990s as high as 15+ KOhms. Then again, my Ohm Meter is not top of the line. But I have validated this resistance with others.
