Please explain the 24th fret sweetspot issue with the neck pickup. Which models have the pickup at the sweetspot? What are the tonal differences between being in the sweetspot and not being in the sweetspot?

Supposedly, the 21 fret models have the pickup positioned at the sweet spot. I havent noticed a difference in sound myself.
