Doesn't Russ at Classic Axe tech on RICs? I'd be surprised if he doesn't and he's much closer to you than Va Beach.

I've got a guy here in the Richmond area that I use to work on my basses who is familiar with Ricks. If anyone is interested, e-mail me.

I use Jim Mouradian at Cambridge Music in Mass. I know it's a ways from you but I'm a Chris Squire fan and Jim's hand built instruments for Chris and those credentials alone make me comfortable having Jim work on my Ric Basses. Jim does wonderful work.

I set my basses up myself. If I did have a major problem I would go to Steve Soest in Orange, CA. I've never dealt with him myself other than a phone conversation, he seemed like a nice guy. I've only heard great things about his work.
I wouldn't take my basses to Sam Ash or Guitar Center for any work to be done.
