I found them on the MF sight. Are they a licensed product?

It annoys me that MF shows these as a Rickenbacker brand product, but yes, Future Primitive is a licensee, in fact the ONLY licensee currently for pins like this.

This was given to me in 1981,
It's a 4001 Az blue with gold trim/hardware and 1/2" p.u. spacing. I often thought about recreating the finish scheme in real life.

I had a blue one in high school, then I lost it. I found it the next day...it fell on the floor & stuck in the bottom of my shoe! The finish was all scraped off. Then I had a white one a few years later, but it fell off while shoveling the driveway & I never found that one.
My wife gave me a pin of a white 4005 which I still have.
There are 4080 pins for sale on ebay, but the minimum shipping is nearly $10!

I have one made in the late 70s ... I have to be careful adjusting the rods and I only string it with flats ...

Hm... I have a remarkably accurate 'Jetglo' 4080/12 pin made by 'Dunlop Taiwan'. It's approx. 2" long. You can even make out the Rickenbacker logo on either neck. The brass pin holder reads 'Metal City'. I bought it in the late '80s/'early'90s from a local music store. They never carried Rickenbackers, by the way.

I'm waiting for the 4001 swiss army knife...the headstock crest is a great bottle opener..clean your fingernails with the upper horn, file 'em down (and scale fish) with the tailpiece. Every gigging musician/fisherman should have one!

I'd buy one-if it had checkered binding
