Personally, I love that Autumn-glo finish from the mid '60s. Its too bad about the crack.

Interestingly he says it has the stamp on the end of the headstock like mine.

Interesting shade of AG. I would have thought it was a refin.

That seller sounds like the kind of idiot that is not worth dealing with.... Frustrating, if you're interested in what he has to sell. He obviously has some serious problems, and absolutely no people skills.... His letter is the true indicator of who the real loser is. I am sorry to see people act like this at any time, and especially in this season when we celebrate peace and good will....

You have just met up with the sad underbelly of Yobbo Brit racist xenophobes...Manchester has its share. Look at his listing, where it says "location"--see his comment on Manchester.
Obviously one of the UK's answers to the emperor.

The racist anti American stuff was shocking. I don’t feel I said anything to antagonize him to that response.

Maybe it was The Emperor's brother?

Geeez What a narrow minded person he must be. He knows nothing about racism except what he believes in his own dream world. To bad he went off on you like that.

I refrained from commenting that I've seen R-fakers that color, assuming that the seller was on the up-and-up; now I'm not so sure, especially since he/she ended the auction early. For future reference, the seller's User ID is "clara2508".

This guy is clearly a tool.
The "Manchester so much to answer for" is a lyric from the Smiths song "Suffer Little Children".
PS: I come from Manchester.

This seller has listed the same guitar at the same price for over six months now. Each time he ends the auction early without any bids having been placed. Clearly the market is not prepared to pay his asking price.
Yes, it's a Rose Morris Export Model and yes, it has an usual original finish, but it's certainly not the rarest Rickenbacker out there. The finish reminds me of the unpopular Antigua colour offered on late 70s Fenders - rare but pretty horrible in my opinion.
His venomous responses are unprofessional and unwarranted. I gives me great satisfaction to know that anyone seriously interested in this guitar is probably a Rickenbacker Forum member and might now reconsider having anything to do with him or his Rickenfakerglo 335.

What an incredible response! And what's just as sad is there are others out there just like him. You just hope you never have to deal with them.

I don't know about the guitar - if it's "rare", real or a faker, and don't even care about that stuff.
I'm more concerned with an e-mail response like that. Then, looking at the floor he placed the guitar on for the picture...
Well, it looks to me like he's repeatedly paced back and forth on it for many years as he mentally composes his personal manifesto against the rest of the world that exists outside that room.
