I'm not saying that it needs it, or that I want to see it, but just out of curiosity how come Rickenbackers don't have a paper label with the serial number in the sound hole?

Why would a Rick want to be like a Gibson or an Epiphone? Actually, I've always wondered why RIC chooses to mark their serial numbers on a removable part (i.e. jackplate, bridge plate, etc). That seems to invite trouble with regard to identification.

A lot of dirt and dust goes into mine, that's for sure. I know my 360 has an Made in USA sticker that dropped inside.

I've got a paper label in my soundhole. It says 700 Comstock Fireglo serial number RIC Made in USA.

"What's in your sound hole?".....
That's a pretty personal question for an internet forum.... Might have to find a small mirror to answer this one...

My doctor says my sound hole is fine and actually fit for someone much younger. My blast hole is another story.....

I could say that I purposely store picks in the soundhole on mine. But that wouldn't be exactly true.

Well, picks DO end up in the soundhole, but they kind of jump in there on their own volition at times. More of a challenge to hit that little hole area than to just fall on the floor I guess. ;-)

Or, maybe the picks want to keep the dust in there company. Who knows? ;-)
